You can download the captions file from recordings as a text file.
Open the video's settings
Locate the desired Panopto video and click Settings
Locate the caption file
Click Captions [1]. Click Details to show the details [2]. Click Download file [3].
Save the caption file
Save the file to your computer.
Add the SRT extension
Rename the file so the extension reads .SRT
