Enabling a Passcode for an existing Zoom meeting in Canvas

This article covers how to enable passcodes for Zoom meetings in Canvas. If you need to enable passcodes for Zoom meetings outside of Canvas, information can be found at Enabling Passcodes for existing Zoom meetings outside of Canvas. To enable passcodes for existing Zoom meetings in Canvas,

Click Zoom

Click Zoom in the course navigation.

Select the Meeting 

Click the Topic/Meeting link.

Edit the meeting

Click Edit this Meeting.

Enable a Passcode

Check the Passcode box, and enter a passcode, if necessary.

Save the changes

Click Save

Note:

1. You do not have to resend anything to students who are clicking the links in Canvas-Zoom.
2. You may need to update the recurring link in the Calendar.
3. If you invited guest speakers, you will need to resend the invitation.
