Scheduler is a Calendar tool that creates appointment groups within a course or group. Students can sign up for a time slot within the appointment group. Some appointment time slots may only allow one student to sign up at a time, while others may allow an entire group to sign up.

Office Hours and Zoom
If using Scheduler to schedule Office Hours, here are some recommended settings.
Option 1: Create a Recurring Meeting in Zoom with an End Date
Create a Recurring meeting in Zoom for each of your Office hours. This allows you to use one link to schedule your office hours.
Option 2: Create a Recurring Meeting in Zoom with no End Date
Create a Recurring meeting in Zoom and set the Recurrence to No Fixed Time.
Turn on Security Options
Turn on Waiting Room. This allows you to control which students enter the Office Hour appointment, in case a student shows up early.
Passcode is recommended but is optional.
Create a Scheduler event in the Canvas calendar
Provide the class name or the faculty name in the Name field [1].
Enter Zoom in the Location field [2].
Paste the Zoom Meeting link
Place the Zoom Meeting Link in the Details field
Students
