There are two ways of extending time on a Canvas Quiz for one or more students.
Recommended: Quiz Accommodations Tool
We recommend using the Quiz Accommodations tool which will update the double-time in all created/published quizzes at the time of its use.
Make sure to access Canvas from the correct URL of https://online.seminolestate.edu. If you are accessing Canvas from https://seminolestate.instructure.com, you will get an error message.
Click Quiz Accommodations
Click the Quiz Accommodation tool in the left-hand navigation. (It is enabled by default. If you have disabled the tool, enable it by going to Settings > Navigation > Quiz Accommodations. The Quiz Accommodations window will appear.
Select and submit the desired student(s)
Click the name of the desired students(s) and then click Submit. The Extend Time window will appear.
Select an Extension
Choose an extension and then click Submit. The confirm screen will appear.
Close the confirmation screen
Click Close to dismiss the confirmation screen.
